Name: Free HIPAA for the Small Provider Training
Date: July 12, 2018
Time: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM MDT
Event Description:
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights is providing free HIPAA for the Small Provider Training in Wyoming from 9am to 1pm on Thursday, July 12, 2018 in Riverton and Friday, July 13, 2018 in Casper.

The purpose of the training is to assist smaller healthcare provider organizations in understanding their responsibilities under the HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules.  If you own or manage a healthcare provider practice or service that submits certain transactions electronically, such as claims to health insurance companies, then your organization must understand how HIPAA works so you can appropriately protect the privacy and security of your patients’ information.  We will cover a number of important topics and welcome your questions and participation at the training.

This free HIPAA training is appropriate for all types of healthcare provider organizations such as: dental, medical, nursing, chiropractic, physical therapy, mental health, optometry, podiatry, EMS, pharmacy, critical access hospital, etc.
